Martin Lukov came through the youth system at PFC Slavia Sofia and PFC Levski Sofia. Between 2013 and 2018 as a senior goalkeeper he played for OFC Slivnishki geroy, FC Vitosha Bistritza, OFC Pirin Razlog, OFC Oborishte Panagurishte and FC Dunav Rousse. His performance earned him a move to PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the summer of 2018 and in that very season he won the Bulgarian Cup. Yet again, he was in the team squad which brought the Cup to Plovdiv for a second campaign in a row (2019/20).
Tclub wrapped up the successful campaign (2019/20) by winning the Bulgarian Supercup trophy.
After signing with “Loko” he got a call up for the national team and under Petar Hubchev and was in the group for the UEFA Nations league tournament. Later on, Martin was also in the squad for UEFA Euro 2020’s qualifying stage. 2016 brought him a valuable individual award as he was included in top 3 best goalkeepers of Bulgaria.
